  • Resolution for a Culture of Democracy in the Democratic Party
    The Michigan Democracy Initiative (MIDemocracyInitiative.org) is leading the effort in Michigan for a culture of democracy in the Democratic Party. Initiated by People for Democratic Party Reform, a nationwide organization of Democratic Party members and activists, this is a three stage plan that repeats:

  1. Sign the Resolution for a Culture of Democracy in the Democratic Party.

  2. Take the resolution to your local, county, congressional district, and state Democratic Parties and push the resolution from the grassroots up.
    Here’s a clean copy for printing.

    The more Democratic Party organizations pass the resolution and push it up to the next level of the Party, the more pressure we can bring to bear on leadership to act on it.

  3. This works as a de facto referendum process in the Democratic Party, giving the people a means to speak loudly to leadership. We the people participating in this process can repeat this process with resolutions, rules changes, or other issues that need to be addressed in the Party – as many times as we want.
